About the Chef
Executive Chef Douglas Pallo remembers his first culinary experience helping his mother prepare dinners for the family growing up in the small town of New Berlin, Wisconsin. He learned the fine art of traditional French cuisine as an apprentice cook for The Pfister Hotel. Chef Douglas studied at the Culinary School in New York and received a culinary arts degree from the Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Chef Douglas joined the University Club in 1986, was quickly promoted to Sous Chef, and ultimately offered the coveted Executive Chef position that he occupies today. Along with his talented kitchen staff, Chef Douglas prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner for Club members and their guests.
When not cooking his extraordinary culinary creations in the University Club kitchen, Chef Douglas enjoys camping, fishing, golfing and relaxing at home with his wife Shannon, daughters Lindsay and Megan, and dog Elvis.
